Wind Does Blow
Wind it blows and whistles through the night
To all it brings a serious fright
One of damage and carnage to bear
Bring to all an awful scare
Retreat all to the lowest floor
Locked behind the basement door
Hunker down keep safe till day
Some will even say they pray
Rattling windows and walls do shake
Even the dead it would wake
This terror seems to pass so slow
As the fear continues to grow
But pass it does as the wind dies down
And what we see brings a frown
Houses destroyed possessions lost
What a terrible cost
But we are safe and have one another still
And in all this my heart with love does fill
