The Poet
Poet gathering courage in the face of fear
Putting oneself in the cross hairs
A critic looks with an awful sneer
Gives a critical opinion and shares
Then there is a person in the corner with a smile
A pleasant look upon their face
It is curious but they seem to like your style
This alone does make a heart race
To ignore the critic you decide
His opinion he may have and share
For him your disdain you do not hide
For to reach one heart is all you care
