A clear path can’t be found

To walk without barriers

No boundaries left to wander

Time left to squander

Give all to the path you choose

Nothing to fear

Nothing lost

Walk this path not afraid to lose

For this is the path you choose

Heart Race

Heart Race

Take me in your warmest place

But first let my fingers trace

Taste you upon my lips

Take the gentlest sips

Take you to highest high

Hear your soulful sigh

Let me make your heart race

Lives Unraveled

Lives Unraveled

Screaming children in a war ridden land

Where are their fathers as they travel with their mothers

By bus and train the miles they travel

Watch as their lives unravel

Houses destroyed with streaks in the sky

In foreign lands in foreign beds they cry

One day soon may the go back

Hopefully put their lives back on track

I’m Back

I took a short break from writing and posting here other than a song I created and poem I wrote a couple weeks ago, otherwise all of my work has been for me and taking a closer look at what I write and not editing my work so much…even though I don’t edit much and just kind of write on the fly, but there is some weird things I wrote that have helped the creative juices just flow…also even though it shouldn’t, feeling as though I have to write creates more stress than it should.

With all that said I’m ready to get back in the saddle and get some more work out there. Good to be back.

Here is a piece that I wrote a couple of days ago:

A Heap

Falling to the ground in a huddled heap

Strong emotions flow not seep

Lost with no control

Falling into depressions hole

Dig my way out, must find a way

Looking to the brighter day

Field of Flowers

I couldn’t resist posting this poem, it just came to me from a photo I remember taking a long time ago.

Field of Flowers

Let your mind roam to a rolling field

Flowers of yellow sunshine before you

Happiness fills your soul

A smile upon your face revealed

No worries weigh upon you now

Lifted by the beauty laid out

Nature provides your relief

With it’s beauty is how

So gaze in wonderment you must

With no words to speak

Silence provides the mood you seek

In nature’s beauty for which you lust

Monday Thoughts

This is one time I didn’t have to search for the words or thoughts for Monday, my writing is my focus for today; or should I say lack of writing.

To be honest I have actually been doing a lot of writing but none that has been shared here or anywhere else for that matter. I have been focused on writing in my journal; and putting ideas down in my journal. I have truly found my journal to be a real outlet for me…I actually have 3 journals…one about my personal feelings, one with writing ideas and one that involves my book and thoughts put in there specifically for ideas for that writing and time writing the book.

I use a digital journal that is on my phone, tablet and computer called ‘One Day’…it is a really cool journal app that does cost money but does allow me to share my journal on all my devices as well as allowing me to actually text journal entries to myself….it has been a great tool.

The last week has been nice and don’t expect much work from me on here…in fact I’m taking a couple of weeks off from writing here…sometimes it feels like pressure I put on myself to put something down every day…so I will be on vacation of sorts and won’t be posting anything here till the 20th and focusing on music and my 3D graphics…oh yeah and my poetry book, I promise I will be back…see you on the flip side.

This Depression

This Depression

Feeling lost no direction found

Confusion does abound

Where do I go from here

All around only fear

Depression sinks in from nowhere

Feelings of little or no care

Wrestling deep within being

Gray skies only seeing

Looking for a sliver of light

None seems to be within sight

Giving up seems only recourse

This depression is the source

Ideas seem to elude me now

Do I get them? I don’t know how

Just write them down

Sometimes feeling as though I drown

So keep my journal close at hand

Let’s see where the ideas land

Book Writing Journal

There has been no writing the last couple of days. My time has been occupied with working.m and not feeling like writing, but I am making an effort to set some time away tomorrow to get some more poetry written for my book…I have 3 poems done.

I do have a photo picked and will share that as well as the poem I have written . I need to get myself on a schedule to write, but writing poetry is so much different than writing a story…it is a moment in time trying to put a feeling down in a few lines…almost like a collection of short stories…at least that is how it feels to me.

So onward and upward
