Sleepless Night

Sleepless Night

Sleepless nights to common now
Finding slumber, I don’t know how
Morning breaks, eyes are red
Feeling near, half past dead

Head is cloudy, feeling dreary
Feeling groggy, head is weary
Day passes by way to slow
To bed is where I want to go

As night finally arrives, climb into bed
Lay down my weary head
Beg for sleep to come tonight
No tired tomorrow I want to fight

Branches Sway

Branches Sway

Gray skies, cold winter day
No need to go out and play
Sit and admire, as I sit by the fire
Leafless trees, swaying in the breeze
Dancing to a tune unsung, waiting for spring to be sprung
How they dance and sway, waiting for a warm spring day

Insane

Insane

Agony and pain, slowly driving insane.

Insanity a state of mind, a peace you many never find.

A foggy head it does seem, life but a dream.

What is real you say, life seems but a play.

Characters all around, reality never found.

So a drift you do go go, this life and its show.

Emotions

Emotions

So many times as men we are expected to keep our emotions locked away; and society doesn’t want us to be real. It is frustrating and showing your feelings is a sign of weakened. I embrace that and feel it is mor a sign of strength…we have feelings.

Identifying the real me
Not just what people see
A man that feels pain inside
A emotion he tries to hide
Sadness sometimes does appear
To show he does fear
The happiness to control
Sometimes his heart is full
But keep it locked away
So society does say
But he is human and does feel
Those emotions keep him real
